What Does Green Building Cost?
The cost of Green Building is a rather complex subject and one that is often misunderstood as well.
It is important to consider the economic benefits of any Green Building project in relationship to the cost. The up front costs of a project may be higher, yet these costs are often balanced against the long term low operating costs of the building.
The matter is further complicated by the fact that many of the benefits of the Green Building can not be easily expressed in dollars and cents. If your personal environment is safer and cleaner and your health is better as a result, how do you put a price on that?
